Lena K. Simon :

I’m Lena, a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and music director with a deep passion for reimagining and transforming musical works. My musicianship spans classical music theory and orchestral performance to Javanese Gamelan ensembles, alongside over a decade of touring internationally with independent artists.

As a multi-instrumentalist, I have performed in a diverse range of indie bands, bringing versatility and adaptability to every musical setting. Whether as a drummer in Kairos Creature Club, synthesizers and arrangements with Caroline Rose, Bassist in La Luz, or switching around on rhythm section instruments for Katie Harkin, my ability to seamlessly shift between instruments has made me an incredible asset to every project I've been a part of.

As an arranger, I specialize in crafting intricate, expressive re-workings of compositions, ensuring that each piece resonates with its intended emotional depth and impact. In 2024, I arranged 18 of Caroline Rose’s songs for an eight-piece string and wind ensemble for performances at Brooklyn Steel in New York and The Barbican Centre in London. These performances also included 2 international debuts of original compositions that highlighted the ensemble. Whether working on orchestral adaptations, chamber ensembles, or translating an album to a live setting, I thrive in bringing new dimensions to existing works. I find that being bi-lingual in both classical music theory and indie rock has given me the tools to communicate efficiently and expressively in almost any scenario.

Beyond my work as an arranger, my strong organizational skills and extensive experience on the road have also led me into Virtual Tour Management, Travel Coordination, and music festival organization. I have worked as a tour manager (both in-person and remotely) for acts like La Luz, Donna Missal, and Kairos Creature Club, assisting with routing, travel coordination, vehicle and backline rentals, show advancing, and artist-venue communications. Additionally, I co-organize Winterland Music Festival, a non-profit event in Jacksonville, Florida, that brings nationally recognized talent to share the stage with emerging local artists.

If you’re looking for an arranger, composer, or music director who can elevate your project with originality and passion, I’d love to connect. Let’s create something together!
